Here's the creative body to the modern 77's sound -- The Strawmen. A garage band from Sacramento, Calif. USA, three friends, Bill and Mark Harmon and David Leonhardt decided to play as a band and just jammed together. After recording an independent CD, they went their separate ways. Mark Harmon and Leonhardt joined up with Mike Roe in the 77's and recorded two albums. Harmon still plays in the band.

Now with all our stock gone, guitarist David Leonhardt has left the 77s and is reforming The Strawmen with another label. Mark Harmon has stayed on with the 77's.
